The first steps of a child’s education are an exciting time for families and our Kindergartens are where a lifetime of learning begins.
Daffodils has three kindergarten branches located in Bukoto, Naguru and Nakasero. Our branches encompass both indoor and outdoor spaces. As a first teacher in a child’s life we collaborate continually with families and the community, seeking contributions and feedback to the program’s range of activities and events.
Academic Programme
The Kindergarten Sections have a child-centred, hands on approach in all its teaching methodology. The curriculum is well balanced giving the 2-6 year olds opportunities to explore, experience and experiment as they develop their basic reading, writing, listening, observation and speaking skills.
The school uses a combined phonetic and sight words approach in reading and encourages all children to have choices as they learn in their class centres.
After school clubs
The Kindergarten branches have many after school clubs for children to further explore and develop their basic skills. Swimming, Art, Piano, Splash, Dance are some of the after school clubs that children love.
